Somatic Alignment: A Practice in Listening.
In my one-on-one Somatic Alignment sessions, I guide you through a process of tuning into your body’s natural intelligence—not by forcing anything but by creating the conditions for realignment to happen naturally.
This isn’t about “fixing” or chasing a breakthrough. It’s about cultivating presence and working with what’s happening in the body, breath, and brain right now.
Why Somatic Alignment?
Many of us live with chronic tension, emotional patterns, or stress responses that feel stuck—often without knowing why. Whether it manifests as physical discomfort, looping thoughts, or a general sense of unease, these patterns don’t form randomly; they are part of how the body has learned to adapt and protect itself.
Somatic Alignment is about learning how to listen—really listen—to our body’s signals, rhythms, and instinctive movement toward aliveness. Instead of trying to force change, we create space for self-regulation and integration.
When we slow down, tune into our bodies, and meet what arises with curiosity, breath, and awareness, things start to shift on their own. This work is about getting comfortable with that process—feeling more, not less.
Breathwork & Implicit Memory
Breathwork is a key to unlocking the reservoirs of memory held in the body. Some of what we carry isn’t even ours—it’s woven into our ancestral lineage and the collective unconscious. These implicit memories aren’t something we can access by thinking about them. But the body remembers, and the breath helps us access what our body already knows.
• Explicit memory is conscious and deliberate. It’s what we know we remember—facts, events, and experiences we can recall and describe.
• Implicit memory is unconscious. It shapes our behaviors, reactions, and bodily responses without realizing it. These memories live in the nervous system and body rather than in conscious thought.
In breathwork, implicit memories often surface—not necessarily as clear recollections, but as sensations, emotions, or patterns of tension. For example, someone might notice their breath shortening or their shoulders tightening without understanding why. a very common sign of implicit memories being integrated is body tremors or shaking. When we bring breath and awareness to these sensations, we create space for integration, allowing them to shift and repattern on their own.
Evolutionary Biology & Somatic Alignment
Somatic Alignment is about working with our evolutionary mechanisms instead of overriding them. Breathwork, movement, and de-armoring aren’t just therapeutic tools—they’re built into us. They’ve been part of how humans process stress and recalibrate for thousands of years.
Think about how an animal shakes off tension after a chase. That’s their nervous system resetting. Humans, on the other hand, tend to hold onto stress, tension, and trauma for decades. This work is about learning how to release and integrate those protective patterns in a way that feels safe and natural.
At the deepest level, this process is about reconciling what has been fragmented—whether that’s our own experiences that have left our sense of self in disarray, ancestral imprints, or memories that were never even ours, to begin with. It’s about reconnecting with the innate intelligence that our bodies have always carried, restoring what has been forgotten.
What to Expect in a Session
1. Personalized Breathwork
Your breath tells a story. Instead of forcing it into a rigid technique, we work with it as it is, allowing it to self-correct and deepen through awareness.
My breathwork approach integrates aspects of Vivation Breathwork, Neuro-Acrobatics, and Somatic Alignment, creating a dynamic way to repattern the nervous system and restore fluidity in the body.
2. Directed Awareness & Visualization
What we focus on and the thoughts we think while breathing change everything.
Subtle shifts in attention—like bringing awareness to sensation, sound, or imagery—can rewire deeply held thought patterns. Through Neuro-Acrobatics, we engage the breath and mind together, tapping into the brain’s ability to create new connections and shift long-held thought patterns that no longer serve us.
3. De-Armoring
Over time, the body builds layers of tension as protection. De-armoring is about releasing these layers—not through force, but through invitations to feel these areas on a deeper level.
This means learning how to feel the areas that have become numb and closed off. Using breath, awareness, and hands-on techniques, we help soften physical and energetic armor so the body can return to its natural state of responsiveness and ease.
4. Movement, Expression & Sound
Our body already knows how to release tension—we just have to let it.
Through spontaneous and explorative movement, sounds, or any other form of energetic expression, we create space for the energy of past experiences to resolve and integrate.
5. Organ Resets
The yin organs—lungs, heart, liver, kidneys, and spleen—are deeply connected to emotional regulation and nervous system balance.
Using breath, vagus nerve stimulation, and organ resets, we support core vitality, detoxification, and emotional processing at the deepest level.
6. Restoring Energy Flow
When breath, movement, and focus come together, stagnation clears, and energy starts to move.
Every component of a session works toward restoring the natural flow of energy throughout the body, bringing a sense of renewed vitality and balance.
Your Body Is an Archive of Evolutionary Wisdom
Everything about you—how you breathe, how you hold tension, how you process stress—is the result of millions of years of intelligent adaptation.
Somatic Alignment isn’t about fixing anything. It’s about remembering and restoring the original intelligence that’s always been there.
When we stop fighting our body and start listening to it, real transformation happens.
